We can actually learn some tricks from cats even though it seems that these feline creatures just bum around by just sleeping and eating all day. Try these health tips for a change.
- Each morning, before getting out of bed, stretch just like a cat for at least half a minute. Enjoy it. Feel your muscles elongate.
- Pose like a cat on all fours. You may do this on the floor or on your sturdy bed. Arch your back just like the posture of a frightened cat. Hold this pose for 10 seconds and then bend your back on the opposite direction as you push you tummy towards the direction of the floor hold it for another 10 seconds more.
- You may also practice this on other times during the day. When sitting for long periods, stand, walk around your desk and stretch. Stretching acts like a reset button for your body.
Stretching like a cat upon waking up in the morning promotes blood flow, relieves muscle tension, and improves your posture.
