Ezines are highly effective marketing tools, but creating original content can put a serious drain on your time…
It can be a challenge to create your own content when you publish your own online newsletter or eZine.
You can make it easier for yourself if you remember that – regardless of the topic you’re publishing – types of content can usually be divided into four categories: factual content, short tips, mini stories and case studies.
If you don’t want to write your own content, you can easily get you own unique content by interviewing an expert in the topic.
Often, this can be done for free – plus, because the interviewee is writing out most of the content, all you have to do is add the interview to your eZine. The interviewee gets free publicity, and you get free content!
If you have money going spare, there’s always the option of hiring a ghostwriter to write content for you – and they won’t take any credit. You can find a freelance ghostwriter on https://www.freelancer.com/hire/ghostwriting/ or https://www.upwork.com/hire/ghostwriters/
Another way of getting your own content – one that is little known and generally underused – is via the public domain. Public domain simply means anything – literally anything – that is NOT protected under copyright law.
This includes ALL works published before 1923 and, under certain conditions, works published up to 1978. “Works” means written materials such as reports, articles and books.
You can republish and repackage public domain information – which saves you time and effort. Plus, you don’t have to pay royalties or copyright fees on it.
If you like the idea of publishing content without any writing on your part, this method is for you.
