While you’re busy obsessing over celebrities, many of them are busy with their own obsessions. These five celebrities have shown devotion to their favorite teams that border on fanatical.
Jerry Seinfeld isn’t Joking About the Mets
Fans of Seinfeld should know that the show makes frequent references to the New York Yankees. It turns out, though, that Jerry Seinfeld is actually a huge Mets fan.
Seinfeld has thrown a first pitch for the team, and he regularly attends home games.
Maybe he just didn’t think that the Mets were something to joke about, so he used the Yanks in his show, instead. Either way, he stands out as one of the team’s biggest supporters.
Ashley Judd Loves the Wildcats
Ashley Judd attended the University of Kentucky before she became a star. She doesn’t seem to care that she’s since moved out of state and made millions of dollars. She’s still the same rowdy fan of the Wildcats.
Need evidence? Look for Judd sitting in the student section at games. If it’s a big game, she’s probably there losing her mind more than anyone else.
She even wrote an article for Sports Illustrated about her commitment to UK’s teams. Basketball is her favorite, but she’s done a little posing for the hockey team, too.
Billy Crystal Goes Nuts for the Yankees
Billy Crystal might own only a portion of the Arizona Diamondbacks, but his heart will always lie with the New York Yankees.
Crystal likes the Yankees so much that he once signed up for spring training. The one-day deal got him at bat. Of course, he struck out. Give the man a break. He was 60 years old at the time!
Billy lives in California these days, but his love for the Yankees goes back to his childhood as a New Yorker.
Holly Madison is All About the Angels
Holly Madison became a celebrity through the reality television show “Girls Next Door,” which followed Playboy Playmates at a time when she was one of Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends.
Today, she leads a somewhat quieter life as a mom. But she still makes time to show her love for the Los Angeles Angels. She even threw the first pitch in a 2010 game in Las Vegas. She didn’t do it well, but she still gets credit as a fan who has stepped up to the pitcher’s mound.
Alyssa Milano Hearts the Los Angeles Dodgers
Alyssa Milano has been a celebrity since she was a child. She won her first major role on 1980’s sitcom “Who’s the Boss”? More recently, she has starred in “Charmed” and the new series “Mistresses.”
Despite all of these projects, Milano finds time to support the Dodgers. Both she and the team are originally from Brooklyn. Milano even writes a regular blog for the Major League Baseball’s websites and owns Touch, a clothing line that uses the logos of professional athletic clubs.
